Fayose’s Impeachment: Ekiti dep gov, gov’s aides lead citizens to occupy Assembly

Nobody asked me to resign —FAYOSE
By Gbenga Ariyibi
Ado Ekiti—Some concerned citizens of Ekiti State and particularly members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, yesterday laid siege on Ekiti State House of Assembly following the rumour that the 19 All Progressives Congress, APC, lawmakers in the assembly were planning to hold a sitting on Monday to impeach Governor Ayodele Fayose.
The concerned citizens had converged on the Assembly as early as 8.30 am and took over the complex.
They blocked all major roads leading to the House with the motive of preventing the APC lawmakers from gaining access.
They practically turned the premises of the assembly into a fun centre, as they brought tables, generators, food and loud music.
Fayose
Some of those that occupied the assembly complex yesterday included Deputy Governor, Dr Kolapo Olusola, former Speaker, State House of Assembly, Hon. Tunji Odeyemi, Special Assistant to the Governor on Information, Mr Lanre Ogunsuyi, his colleague in the Public Communications, Lere Olayinka, and a host of others.
Though, they conducted themselves in a peaceful manner, the mobile policemen that were drafted to the area came in nine Hilux vans and officials of the Department of State Service , DSS, who were heavily armed were stationed at the two entrances of the Assembly Complex.
The invaders danced to the music supplied in front of the old Assembly Complex, where they were restricted by security agencies.
They, however, vowed to keep a vigil in the assembly, asking the APC lawmakers to impeach Fayose in their presence.
Briefing newsmen on why they converged at the Assembly, Ogunsuyi said the Omirin-led lawmakers erred in law by claiming that they sent a notice of impeachment to the Governor, saying it was a complete misfire for Omirin to be claiming speakership while also challenging his impeachment in the court of law.
He said: “The new Nigeria which President Goodluck Jonathan and Major Gen. Muhammadu Buhari all campaigned for is the one that would respect the rule of law.
‘’With this convergence, you can see that the people are standing by their governor. They are ready to defend their mandate.
“Nobody asked Omirin and other APC lawmakers not to come to the Assembly, they only decided to abdicate their duties since last year November 17. Impeachment procedure does not start and end with Assembly alone. The judiciary is involved, so this plan is highly condemnable.
“We want to emphasize that they are welcome as long as they are concerned about making laws for the progress of the state, but if it was meant to come and impeach Governor Fayose, we won’t allow that.”
Ogunsuyi, however, said the governor as the leader of the state will continue to spread olive branch to the lawmakers for the state to remain in peace and harmony.
“We don’t want any unwholesome issue because the task of developing Ekiti is an onerous task that needs to be pursued with vigour. The governor doesn’t want any distraction and that is why he has been pursuing peace at all times.
“We want some measures of decorum in Ekiti. We are not proud of the era whereby we had three governors within a week. We want a stable government and that we will continue to pursue for Ekiti to be at peace.”
Also commenting on the current tension in the state, former Speaker, Hon. Tunji Odeyemi, advised the APC lawmakers to sheathe their swords and allow peace to reign.
Nobody asked me to resign — Fayose
Meantime, Governor Ayo Fayose yesterday dispelled the rumour making the rounds that the President Goodluck Jonathan has advised him to resign from office, saying nobody has advised him in that respect.
The governor who featured in the popular monthly programme tagged ‘Mr Governor Explains’ on state-based media in Ado Ekiti yesterday equally said it was not true he was hiding from the state, saying he has always associated and mingled with his people even during his difficult days.

SALIVA OVULATION SCOPE.
***SALIVA OVULATION SCOPE***
What on earth is saliva ferning? It’s pretty simple, actually. It’s a way of monitoring how fertile you are by examining dried saliva samples through a microscope (don’t worry – sounds yucky, but it’s actually kind of pretty!)
How does it work? Well, shortly before you ovulate, there is an increase in the estrogen in your system, right around the time of the LH (luteinizing hormone) surge that ovulation predictors detect. As estrogen in your body increases, so does salinity. And when a salt solution dries, it forms crystals resembling ferns. Thus, the appearance of these “ferns” indicate an increase of estrogen in your body, which signals impending ovulation.
I’m new to saliva ovulation ferning and have found myself scouring the internet for other people’s experiences and pictures. The most helpful site I’ve found so far is from one of the saliva ovulatoin ferning microscope manufacturers, Ovatel. Although that’s not the one I’ve been using.it’s the same idea. What I particularly like about the site are the pictures of two complete cycles. Since every woman will have a unique pattern, this can only give you a sort of rough guideline. But it was really helpful to see the changes taking place around ovulation. So I thought, why not document my own?
My advice if you decide to try ferning as a method of tracking ovulation:
Let the sample completely dry before you look at it. I can’t tell you how completely different things will look within 5 seconds of totally drying. On days where I had the fullest ferns, I thought at first that there weren’t any at all because I looked too soon. You won’t see the real patterns until it is completely dry.
Find some way of comparing previous days. Obviously, I was able to take pictures and that has been really helpful. However you do it, I highly recommend finding a way to document at least a week’s worth. The individual days made almost no sense to me until I looked at them as a progression. I could not have remembered what one day’s looked like without being able to see it again. I would have thought that every day I had “ferned.”
Back up with another method, at least until you have a really good sense of what your ferning cycle looks like and what the patterns mean for you. Again, because I thought I had ferns every day, I wouldn’t have had a good idea during this first month whether or not I was in a fertile stage. Using the ovulation predictor kits and tracking my basal body temperature together with the saliva ovulation ferning allowed me to interpret what I was seeing. Once I have a complete cycle under my belt and can see where the “transition phase” is really ending and the “full ferning phase” actually begins, I’ll be able to predict ovulation much better next time.
I hope you find this useful!
Please note: I do not have a photographic microscope. These pictures are achieved the old-fashioned way, by using the zoom on my little digital camera through the microscope lens! So the pictures are not of the highest quality and have some serious blur spots. I’m getting a little bit better, so hopefully the pictures are too. Bear with me!
The microscope arrived just after my period ended, so the pictures begin during the beginning of the second week of my cycle.
cycle day 7: There were several types of formations to be found on this day. There were many rocky areas full of “chards” along with some more clear crystalline branching structures, as well as some beautiful “ferns.” I’ll assume these ferns came from the estrogen still in my system from my period ending.
cycle day 8: Overall crystalline structures. Largely straight lines, no curvy ferns.
cycle day 9: forgot to take a picture, sorry.
cycle day 10: Branching structures, but no ferning.
NOTE: cd means cycle day.
cd 11: Evolving from yesterday’s. More branching and fewer individual chards. Still no real ferning.
cd 12: Starting to fern. Those straight lines from days 10 & 11 are starting to branch and become a little fuller. I marked this as the start of my transition period.
cd 13: Another triptych. Although there were several different areas on this slide again, most had some kind of ferning going on. Some areas looked like yesterday’s, and the first full ferns appeared. On this day I started noticing that even the areas without branching are starting to become denser, like the individual crystals are beginning to come together. No isolated chards – they’re all clumping together.
cycle day 14: Positive OPK and the first day of full ferning. Again, no isolated chards. All areas of the sample contained ferns like this.
cycle day 15 (ovulation later confirmed by bbt): Very full, dense ferning. Branching structures with full, curvy ferns.
cycle day 16 (1dpo): and as quickly as they came, they were gone… back to sparser branches – they look like aerial shots of tributaries to me!.
cycle day 17 (2dpo): no ferns of any kind.
cycle day 18 (3dpo): some branching, no ferns.
cycle day 19 (4dpo): heavy branching.
cycle day 20 (5dpo): more heavy branching, no ferns.
cycle day 21 (6dpo): An interesting pattern – possible ferning?
cycle day 22 (7dpo): mostly chards, some branching.
cycle day 23 (8dpo): fuller branching.
cycle day 24 (9dpo): lots of chards, some branching areas.
cycle day 25 (10dpo): full branching.
cycle day 26 (11dpo): two patterns of note here. a lot of branching, and then an interesting ferningish sort of area, too. My period should be starting in a couple of days, and many women apparently get some ferning toward the end of their cycle as progesterone decreases and estrogen increases again.
I’ll continue to update until the end of the cycle, so watch for developments!

HOW TO USE SALIVA OVULATION PREDICTORS.
HOW TO USE SALIVA OVULATION PREDICTORS
Saliva Ovulation Predictors (Saliva Fertility Tests)
When a woman is about to ovulate, her saliva begins to form a distinct fern-like pattern due to an increase in the level of salt and estrogen. This visible ferning pattern begins to appear around 3 to 4 days prior to ovulation. Ovulation microscopes - or saliva fertility tests - allow you to predict ovulation by viewing the changes in the make up of your saliva prior to ovulation.
With the saliva-based ovulation fertility tests, just add a drop of saliva to the lens and let the sample dry. In five minutes, view the sample through the microscope. Note for new users: Remember that you need to press the LED light button and focus by turning the eyepiece of the microscope. If you are ovulating - or about to ovulate - a ferning, crystal-like pattern can be identified when examined under the power of the microscope, helping you predict fertile or infertile times in your cycle.
Image 3 indicates peak fertility.
Compact and easy to use, ovulation microscopes are reusable and allow women to see a unique pattern in their saliva called "ferning" (due to the fact that the crystal patterns look like ferns leaves). Based on the increase or decrease of the hormone estrogen, this ferning pattern looks like frost on a windowpane (see image). This pattern develops in saliva around the time of ovulation. A woman simply places a drop of saliva onto the microscope lens, allows it to dry, and reads the result.
Kathleen Fry, M.D., president of the American Holistic Medical Association states: "This new and exciting system works." And Christiane Northrup, M.D., gynecologist and the author of the best-selling book "Women's Wisdom, Women's Bodies," reports, "This simple and empowering tool allows women to learn about and take charge of their own fertility. I recommend it highly." Fertility expert Amos Grunebaum, MD, also endorses the ovulation microscope as an instrumental tool to augment fertility and bbt charting.
Saliva Ovulation Fertility Predictor Instructions:
Tip #1 Test first thing in the morning. Never test after eating, drinking, smoking, or brushing teeth.
Tip #2 Clean the lens before using the test. Place a drop of saliva from under your tongue on the lens surface. Leave it to dry for at least five minutes.
Tip #3 Remember to take off your glasses when viewing the test - and remember the lens can be focused by rotating the eye-piece.
1 - Carefully remove the lens by pulling it out of the casing.
2 - Place a drop of saliva on the surface of the lens. Avoid creating air bubbles.
3 - Allow the saliva sample to dry for at least five minutes and replace the lens into the housing. The saliva must be dry before viewing.
4 - Look into the lens and push the light button to observe the test result. Rotate the lens while bringing it close to the eye (remember to remove eyeglasses). Adjust the eyepiece to focus and push the light to observe test results.
5 - Clean the lens after every use (with a clean soft cloth or lens cleaner).
Advantages of Ovulation Microscopes
According to research studies, saliva ovulation predictor tests are 98% accurate. Other advantages of saliva fertility tests? They are reusable, discreet, and easy-to-use. Testing takes about five to ten minutes and reading results is just a focus away.
Questions and Answers about the Ovulation Microscope
How do Ovulation Microscopes work?
Ovulation microscopes detect hormone changes that occur prior to and during ovulation. As estrogen increases, "ferning" or crystal patterns can be viewed in dried samples of saliva (seen through the saliva fertility test). These patterns will indicate that ovulation is about to take place - or taking place. The duration of your most fertile time lasts from several days before ovulation to 24 or so hours after ovulation.
When do I begin testing with the Saliva Ovulation Predictor?
It is recommended to use the saliva ovulation test on a daily basis and record results on your fertility chart. Ovulite includes a Saliva Ovulation Tester Card for monitoring results and determining fertility patterns.
When and how do I test for ovulation?
Test first thing in the morning - but never after eating, drinking, or brushing your teeth. These activities may interfere with results.
Are Saliva Fertility Tests accurate?
When instructions are followed, ovulation microscopes are 98% accurate for predicting ovulation.
Can Ovulation Microscopes be used as a contraceptive device?
While other sites advertise saliva fertility tests as a means of contraception, Early-Pregnancy-Tests.com does not advocate the use of any ovulation test as an effective contraceptive. Ovulation microscopes should not be used in this context. See your doctor if you have any questions.
